Hi, my name is David Broadhurst. I am a self-employed fully qualified DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and Occupational Driver Trainer (Fleet). I am also a Driving Advisor with The Wales Mobility and Driving Assessment Service based at Rookwood Hospital in Cardiff.
I am a member of the Driving Instructors Association (DIA), who also provide comprehensive Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance. I have a full enhanced disclosure Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
I trained and qualified to become a driving instructor with RED Instructor Training.
The pace of tuition is matched to the ability of the student, as with all things in life, some students pick it up much quicker than others.
My aim is to get students to test standard as quickly as possible. I am not one of those driving instructors who drag things out for financial gain.
When a student is ready for test I will tell them so. However, I will not put a student forward for a driving test until I am 100% confident in their ability to be able to pass the test.
All my lessons are tailored to the individual needs of the student

I am fully qualified to instruct drivers with disabilities and I use a specially equipped Honda Jazz 2014 automatic. Equipped with a variety of modifications to cater for most requirements, ie. I work according to DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) code of conduct to help you get the best possible tuition. This guarantees that:
» I am fully qualified
» Use a driver development card to track your progress
» I can adapt your tuition for you
» I will give you a full lesson of one-to-one tuition
» I do not smoke or use a mobile phone during your lessons
» I do not carry passengers during your lessons
I believe that the more you relax, the more you can learn. If you enjoy your lessons, chances are you'll build up your confidence and your driving skills more quickly.
If you're aged 17-25, live in Wales and have passed your driving test the great news is that you can discover more driving techniques, hints and tips contact me for further information.
Pass Plus Cymru is a short, higher driving course designed for young people to develop road techniques and to widen experience. It’s supported by the Welsh Government. There's no test at the end and by building on your driving skill, knowledge and hazard awareness, it can reduce your risk of being involved in a crash and can even help you qualify for a substantial discount with many insurance companies.
An easy way to calculate overall stopping distances:
